7th grade: We have been discussing/learning about what it means to be a good consumer. This includes how to make a budget, how companies convince us to buy their products, what rights/responsibilities we have as consumers, and much more! Students will be working on a packet in class tomorrow and Monday which will count as a quiz grade. Textbooks and notes can be used to complete the packet.
8th grade: We have been discussing careers. On Monday, students got to take the Meyers-Briggs personality test on MacBooks. This test determines a person's personality type based on the answers student's put in. The results showed the traits which go along their personality, as well as which type of work setting they would excel in, friendship/relationship tendencies, as well as strengths and weakness. Students then used the MacBooks to research a career of interest. Students are now woking on a poster for their career. They will present their posters to the class on Tuesday of next week.
6th grade: Welcome to sewing school! Students have begun handsewing, learning the runnning stitch and the edge stitch. Students practiced on paper, sewed felt snowfakes, and learned to sew on buttons. Students will begin their cupcake pincushion project tomorrow in class!
